J.K. Rowling, along with several other celebrities, has made a donation to help raise money for Tilly Lockey, a toddler from County Durham, England, who needs to have her prostetic limbs replaced annually as she grows. Lockey lost her hands and toes to meningitis when she was just over 1 year old.
Rowling and several other celebrities donated photos, sketches and plaster casts of their hands, which will be displayed free of charge to the public at the Life Centre in Newcastle on Sept. 4; the auction will take place the following day.
