According to his agency, David Ryall (Around the World in 80 Days, City of Ember) has been confirmed to play Elphias Doge, friend of Albus Dumbledore, in Deathly Hallows.
Doge wrote Dumbledore's obituary in the Daily Prophet, and discussed the late Hogwarts headmaster's dubious history with Harry and Molly Weasley's great Auntie Muriel at Bill and Fleur's wedding.
