I imagined a scene in Potter where the camera passes Snape's office, and we see Snape inside, dancing merrily, to the tinny sound of Walking on Sunshine coming from his iPod earphones.
Size Matters Not invites the reader to a journey of Warwick Davis' life, from the day of his birth through to his career and current activities. After being cast in Star Wars at the young age of 11, Davis, better know to Harry Potter fans as Charms Professor Filius Flitwick, documents his many thoughts and feelings regarding his life, making the reader feel like they are experiencing it firsthand.
Having starred in a large variety of films throughout his career, the book devotes each chapter to a certain project, usually filled with black and white behind the scenes photographs.
The chapter detailing Harry Potter covers Davis' first audition all the way through to the most recent film, Half-Blood Prince. He describes moments of filming, the relations with the actors and generally the on-set atmosphere. Aside from the single chapter, there are various references to Potter throughout - from describing the Star Wars studios as "like Hogwarts", to comparing individuals to Potter characters.
The book contains a large amount of humour, both within the text and on the side as annotations to photographs, or topics mentioned in the chapter. It is an enjoyable and informative read and encourages the reader to keep going, with many chapters ending on mild cliff-hangers.
