DH tops Japanese book list

The Mainichi Daily News is reporting that the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows novel was the best-selling book of 2008 in Japan.

The list was announced by Tohan Co in Tokyo.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final title of J.K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter series, published by Say-zan-sha, topped the ranking, followed by "Yume wo Kanaeru Zo" (The Elephant That Makes Dreams Come True) by Keiya Mizuno, published by Asukashinsha.
