The official Harry Potter UK Facebook announced, via Emma Watson, the winner of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I DVD/Blu-ray cover art contest, as well as the release date. The penultimate Harry Potter film will be released for home video on Monday, April 11, 2011.
Also, Warner Bros. announced info about the DVD and Blu-ray release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1!
The 3-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack comes with a sneak peek at one of the opening scenes from Part 2. The Single Disc DVD includes additional scenes.
Both will be available to purchase in the US on April 15th.
iTunes - Fans that purchase the title from iTunes will receive extras including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1” soundtrack, eight deleted scenes, and an interview with Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Oliver Phelps and James Phelps discussing growing up on set and life after Potter.
On Demand – Consumers that rent the film On Demand in Hi-def will have access to great bonus content including Dan, Rupert and Emma's “Running Competition,” an exclusive video that gives a glimpse of the new cast members on the set, and a deeper look at the making of the soundtrack for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1.”
In celebration of the upcoming DVD releases, WB also announced the "Quest for the Hallows" online adventure, which gives you the chance to check out exclusive content like videos, photos and more - and you can enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win some really amazing prizes!
The April 15th release date coincides with the release of the Harry Potter Years 1-7 Part 1 gift sets on DVD and Blu-ray:
