In a new profile by the New York Times, Daniel Radcliffe talks about going from playing Harry Potter to his role in a Broadway musical in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The full article can be read here.
Also, the official How To Succeed Twitter has been updated with the news that revealed that three performances will go dark: July 7th, 7 PM; July 8th, 8 PM; and July 9th, 2 PM. This is most likely so that Dan can use that time to promote Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
David Yates, who directed Mr. Radcliffe in the last four “Potter” films, including its closing act, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” said that despite Mr. Radcliffe’s outsize stardom, “he’d be more comfortable being one of the boys,” whether helping a film crew clean up after a late-night shoot or deciding to star in a Broadway musical.
“His way of dealing with it,” Mr. Yates said with a laugh, “is to try and pretend that he’s normal, and dance with everybody else.”
Previews have begun for How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and the musical open on March 27th. Tickets can be ordered at Broadway.com. For special fan exclusives and discount tickets, head to the official fan page for the musical.
