Emma Watson spoke about Ron and Hermione's relationship in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to MTV.
First and foremost, what does she think of Granger’s marriage to Ron Weasley? “I was thrilled really. Ron was the right person for her to be with. I think it was amazing that they had kids. It was perfect.â€
Has she discussed the romance (and eventual kiss!) with costar Rupert Grint? “God no! We haven’t discussed it. I think we’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it.â€
“The scene that really touched me is Ron’s betrayal of Hermione, him leaving her. There’s that wonderful scene where he comes back and Hermione just launches herself at him and starts hitting him and is uncontrollably angry at him and disappointed in him for abandoning her. I’m looking forward to that because it felt very real when I read it.â€
Furthermore, Watson spoke to Canada.com in regards to The Tales of Despereaux, specifically in regards to worrying about putting too much of Hermione Granger into the role of Princess Pea:
"I guess I've had paranoid moments where I will hear something in my own voice, and go, ‘Gosh, do I sound like Hermione there?' I definitely had an awareness of it because I've played her for so long and she is so distinctive and she is so much a part of me. But Pea was more gentle. I instantly felt like a different person or character playing her. I was worried about it, but it worked out OK."
She had to deal with a lot of emotions within the solitude of a recording studio.
"A lot of my performance is quite physical in the film because I've been kidnapped and there's a rat in my room and whatever. It was hard getting all of that into my voice -- the emotional and the out-of-breath and the screaming. But it was fun. I was actually given a toy Despereaux who I could speak to, so I had a kind of substitute."
