Natalia Tena (Tonks) is set to star as Desdemona in the Royal Shakespeare Company's run in a 1950s-era version of Othello this spring. The play will be produced by Order of the Phoenix co-star Kathryn Hunter (Mrs. Figg).
“The way people view women and those of a different race are central to the play, so setting it in a time that predates the modern feminist and race relations era seems to make sense.â€
The play begins on January 30th at the Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick, in Coventry.
