The family of 25-year-old David Holmes, stuntman and double for Daniel Radcliffe, has issued the following statement about Holmes' recent accident on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It has been reported that Holmes seriously injured his back when he took a fall while performing a stunt in the air during which there was an explosion while filming at Leavesden Studios in England.
The accident is currently under investigation by the government agency Health and Safety Executive.
"We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We are trusting in the expertise of the medical staff who are caring for David and would ask the media to please respect the privacy of our family while we concentrate on helping each other through this difficult time."
