It's been confirmed to Snitch Seeker through Rupert Grint's publicist that Rupert will be attending the premiere for his film Cherrybomb in Berlin this weekend. Tickets were on sale here but all of the screenings are now sold out!
Rupert's publicist also said that it is "unlikely" that Rupert will attend the Cherrybomb screening at the Dublin film festival on Feb. 20.
UPDATE: RupertGrint.net is reporting that tickets for the Cherrybomb premiere and the February 15th showing, are now sold out.
Also, the Berlin Film Festival's website has updated with a synopsis for Cherrybomb:
Malachy and Luke are best friends in spite of the fact that they come from very different backgrounds. Both boys live in Belfast – albeit on different sides of the tracks, or rather, class barriers. Malachy is a model pupil from an intact family and has a part-time job at a leisureplex; Luke lives with his alcoholic father and sells drugs for his brother, Chris.
Both friends spend a fantastic summer together – until Michelle, Malachy’s boss’s daughter, turns up. Michelle has been living in London. Both boys are smitten from the word go. Michelle’s father Crilly doesn’t have much time for his daughter, he’s much more interested in her best friend, Donna, with whom he is having a not-so-secret affair. Michelle feels neglected. The fact that the boys have the hots for her suits her just fine. And because she flirts with both of them in equal measure the two friends soon become rivals.
One day, Luke winds up in a fight on her account and gets a real dusting as a result – but then Michelle demands an even greater sacrifice from Malachy. And so the boys find themselves competing for Michelle’s favours in ever more daring ways.
When Malachy’s father’s car is wrecked after a night cruise, a row ensues during the course of which Luke tells Michelle that her father has slept with Donna. Furious with her father and determined to get her own back, Michelle decides to go to bed with Malachy – in her father’s bedroom …
