Interview - Tom Felton on Jack Osbourne

The final part of Tom Felton's interview with Feltbeats is now available! Tom talks about his episode of Jack Osbourne: Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie which aired this past Wednesday, November 12th, on ITV2 in Britain.Â

So, back to “Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie”… We have a poll on Feltbeats.com right now asking which stunt fans would most like to see; so far, everyone wants to see what you do with the Ostrich!
Tom:
Aww, I won’t lie, that was definitely the funniest. I have to warn you now, though, it was quite explicit!

I was actually going to ask you that. I was pretty, you know, shocked by Elijah’s language on the show…
Tom:
Yeah, well this happens. The thing is, I want to explain, you can’t remember what you say out there. You wig out, and you get in a weird state of mind. And you complete forget the cameras are on you.

But, I don’t remember what I said, and there’s no point in asking me, either. I’m a little bit nervous about what I said up there. Actually, Jade and I watched a small cut of the bungee jump and it wasn’t too bad. There were a few lewd comments. But it seemed mostly above the belt, to be fair.

Â

What was the scariest thing you did?
Tom:
Bungee jump, no doubt. It was terrifying. I’ve never been more scared in my life.

How was the feeling afterwards?
Tom:
Amazing! I’ve never felt higher in my life! It was a complete up and down!

But yeah, I was well and truly pressurized in the best way possible. People were just behind me all the way, saying, “You have to do it! You have to do it!” And I was sort of, “ugh.” Even the second before I did it, I said to myself, “I don’t want to do this.”

But yeah, obviously, the moment you go off that bridge, it was all good. And should be rather amusing to see on TV, I think, because I was genuinely [crapping] myself. I don’t know how you want to edit that!

And about Draco Malfoy, Tom said -Â

Scholastic to Print Over 3 Million Copies of Beedle the Bard

Publishers Weekly writes that Scholastic, the U.S. publishers of the Harry Potter books, have ordered an initial print run of 3.5 million copies of J.K. Rowling's, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which will go one sale December 4th with proceeds benefitting the Children's High Level Group. An advertising campaign will for the book's release will be featured online and in the New York Times Book Review and USA Today in late November and early December.

Ingram Book Group's director of merchandising Mary McCarthy says the logistics will be “challenging.” The company meets weekly to review orders and transportation to ensure that everything will go smoothly. Although she doesn't expect Beedle to sell at the same levels as Deathly Hallows—Ingram's initial order was roughly one-third of its initial buy for Deathly Hallows—it is still a major title.

“Everyone knows someone who loves Harry Potter. It's a great stocking stuffer and a wonderful addition to a Harry Potter library,” says Diane Mangan, director of children's merchandising at Borders Book Group. Already Beedle is getting strong preorders at both Borders and Borders.com. And Mangan is hoping to keep up the momentum by highlighting the book on Borders's homepage and giving it front-of-store treatment in its stores on publication.

You can pre-order The Tales of Beedle the Bard using the following links.
