			<title>Harry Potter Line-Up Change at Florida SuperCon</title>
			<link>http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;Itemid=464&amp;id=1016&amp;task=view</link>
			<description>

We have an update in which Harry Potter stars will be attending Florida SuperCon on May 23rd-25th. It was previously reported (index.php?option=com_content Itemid=464 id=927 task=view) that both James Oliver Phelps will be there, but it turns out (http://www.floridasupercon.com/index.html) that James is now unable to make it because he will be working as part of the crew on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince the weekend of the event. This is, in fact, why Natalia Tena has been scheduled to take James' place at the convention, and it will be her first US appearance at such an event!

The line-up of Harry Potter actors at Florida SuperCon is now: Devon Murray, Stanislav Ianevski, Natalia Tena, and Oliver Phelps.

You can get more info on the convention here (http://www.floridasupercon.com/index.html).

Thanks, Harry Potter's Page (http://www.harrypotterspage.com/)!

			<title>Hermione Granger an &quot;unReal Role Model&quot;</title>
			<link>http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;Itemid=464&amp;id=1003&amp;task=view</link>
			<description>

Christianity Today has created a list of fictional female characters who are viewed as unReal Role Models who are
considered role models, and Hermione Granger has been included along with Brenda Johnson from The Closer, Marge Simpson from The Simpsons, Juno from Juno, and Precious Ramotswe from The #1 Ladies&amp;rsquo; Detective Agency book series.

In recent years, movies, books, and TV shows have presented us with
some amazing female characters deserving of our admiration. In their
honest depictions of the complexity of what it means to be flawed and
human, these fictional women are as real as it gets. So here&amp;rsquo;s my
personal toast to 5 great female characters and the traits that make
them work emulating:

Hermione Granger (from the Harry Potter book
series)&amp;mdash;Through the ups and downs of life as a &amp;ldquo;muggle&amp;rdquo; in a wizard&amp;rsquo;s
world, this feisty adolescent exemplifies what it looks like to be
courageously loyal. Hermione shows us that loyalty to our friends and
loved ones doesn&amp;rsquo;t mean backing down or going along&amp;mdash;it means speaking
one&amp;rsquo;s mind, sticking it out through arguments and misunderstandings,
and if needed putting one&amp;rsquo;s life and limb on the line.

What are your thoughts on these role models? We'd love to hear them in the comments!

			<title>GMTVs Ben Shepherd Lands Extra Role in Half-Blood Prince</title>
			<link>http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;Itemid=464&amp;id=1002&amp;task=view</link>
			<description>

GMTV presenter Ben Shepherd has scored a background character role in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Ben plays a parent in Fred and George's joke shop, and was given fake facial hair to wear for the role!

Ben revealed on his Heat radio show: My lack of puberty says I can't have beards.

 I've got a part in the new Harry Potter film and when
they did my costume fitting I said 'Is there any chance I could have some
sideburns?' So they stuck some sideburns on me and I said 'I couldn't have a
cheeky moustache could I?'

 They've given me a moustache, they've given me
sideburns - I'm loving it.

 Harry Potter is great but more excitingly I've got
facial hair for the first time in my life aged 33.

			<link>http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;Itemid=464&amp;id=1000&amp;task=view</link>
			<description>

Emma Watson has been included (http://www.maxim.com/Girls/94Emmawatson/slideshow/24914/2463.aspx) in Maxim's 2008 Hot 100: The ultimate list (http://www.maxim.com/Girls/Girls/slideshow/thumbnails/2463.aspx) of the world&amp;rsquo;s most beautiful women.

Emma has been ranked at number 94.

One of the Harry Potter
stars has appeared nude onstage. Sadly, it wasn&amp;rsquo;t 18-year-old Emma
(though you looked hot, Daniel!). Next up, Emma lends her voice to The Tale of Despereaux.

			<title>Charity Storycard to Be Reproduced for Public</title>
			<link>http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;Itemid=464&amp;id=999&amp;task=view</link>
			<description>

Earlier this month, we reported (index.php?option=com_content Itemid=464 id=923 task=view) that J.K. Rowling would be one of the authors contributing an original written piece to a charity storycard which will be auctioned by Waterstone's to benefit the Dyslexia Action (http://www.dyslexiaaction.org.uk/). The auction, termed What's Your
Story?'', is to be a private event held in London on June 10th.

The Guardian writes (http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/books/2008/05/bestselling_bookerwinning_post.html) that this storycard will be reproduced into a book of postcards, which will then be made available to the general public later this summer. Proceeds will again benefit the Dyslexia Action (http://www.dyslexiaaction.org.uk/).

Next month, Waterstone's is hoping to work something of the same abracadabra on behalf of English PEN (http://www.englishpen.org/) and Dyslexia Action (http://www.dyslexiaaction.org.uk/).
A clutch of authors - including Sebastian Faulks, Doris Lessing, JK
Rowling (is it rash to think this one will fetch a few quid?) and
Irvine Welsh - have been commissioned to write original, unique
stories on postcards. These will then be auctioned off on June 10 to an
invited audience.

You're not on the guest list, but you couldn't afford it, anyway.
However, the complete set will be reproduced as a book of postcards
available to the common people later in the summer, proceeds also to
charity. And much as it will be great to see the two beneficiaries
getting a big windfall, I think the postcards collection has got to be
the better deal.

Thank you to La Gazette du Sorcier (http://www.gazette-du-sorcier.com/) for the tip!
